Why ATX for Realtors

One realtor portrait, built to work everywhere a client sees you.

Most photographers shoot a few headshots between weddings and family portraits. ATX Headshots is a dedicated headshot studio. Every realtor session is built around the one thing your portrait has to do: look polished and consistent everywhere a client sees your face. MLS profile, listing sign rider, brokerage website, business card, LinkedIn, social.

01

One portrait that holds up everywhere. The same portrait has to work cropped tight on a sign rider, square on Instagram, full-frame on your brokerage website, and small on a business card. Every shot is composed and retouched to hold up at every size and crop you actually use.

02

Polished for residential, institutional for commercial.Residential agents need approachable and confident. Commercial brokers and institutional buyers need polished and credible. The session is calibrated for the specific market you serve and the clients you want to attract.

03

Files sized for every brokerage system.Selected portraits delivered in multiple sizes and crops. Square for MLS, wide for sign rider, vertical for LinkedIn, large file for print. Already sized for your brokerage's submission requirements, no manual cropping or resizing on your end.

Background Matching

Match the look your brokerage uses.

RE/MAX, Compass, Keller Williams, Coldwell Banker, Century 21, Engel & Völkers, Sotheby's. Each brokerage has its own look. The background, lighting, and composition can be matched to your brokerage standard or built fresh for your personal brand.

How A Session Runs

Three steps from arrival to delivery.

A studio session does not have to be intimidating. Here's exactly how the session runs, so you know what to expect before you book.

01 - Arrive

Quick wardrobe check, no pressure.

Arrive at the Cedar Park studio. We talk through what you're using the portraits for: MLS, sign riders, brokerage profile, social. Quick wardrobe and lighting check. The first few minutes are designed to take the pressure off.

02 - Shoot & Coach

Coached posing on a tethered screen.

Posture, chin angle, expression, hand placement. You don't have to know how to pose. Every shot is reviewed in real time on a tethered monitor as we work, so you find your best angles fast and we adjust on the spot.

03 - Select & Approve

Pick favorites before you leave.

Review every shot during the session and mark the ones you want retouched. After the session you receive a private gallery with your selects. You only purchase the retouched portraits you actually want. No surprises, no waiting weeks for proofs.

What Makes A Strong Realtor Portrait

Six things that separate professional from amateur.

Realtor portraits work harder than almost any other professional headshot. They appear cropped tight on signs, square on social, large on websites, small on cards. Here's what makes a portrait work in every context.

One session, every crop. Square for MLS and Instagram, wider for sign rider and brokerage profile, full-frame for web.

01

Composed for tight crops.

Sign rider crops are often square or close to it, and they crop tight. The portrait has to be framed so the most important features stay in-frame at every standard crop ratio your brokerage uses.

02

Approachable but credible.

Buyers and sellers are choosing who to trust with the largest transaction of their year. A genuine smile that reads as approachable without looking forced. Confident posture without looking stiff.

03

Background that supports, not distracts.

Sign rider readers see the portrait at a glance. Backgrounds matched to your brokerage palette, or clean neutrals that work across every platform. The face stays the focus.

04

Lighting that flatters every skin tone.

Studio lighting calibrated for your face, not a one-size template. Skin tones rendered naturally, not over-processed. The portrait should look like the best version of you, not a different version.

05

Wardrobe that holds up over years.

Trendy outfits date fast. Wardrobe guidance focused on classic professional looks that won't look stale in three years when you're still using the same portrait on every platform.

06

Natural retouching, never overdone.

Skin smoothed naturally, blemishes removed, glasses glare reduced, stray hairs cleaned. No plastic skin, no AI filters, no over-edited look. The portrait that arrives is the one your clients will see.

Composite Brokerage Portraits

One brokerage portrait. Built to grow with your team.

Most brokerage team photos go stale the moment an agent joins or leaves. A composite brokerage portrait is built differently. Every agent is photographed individually, then assembled into one cohesive image you can update for years without reshooting the entire team.

Composite brokerage portrait built from individual realtor headshots, custom background, professional team photography by ATX Headshots
How It Works

Photographed individually, assembled together

Each agent is photographed in a controlled session at our Cedar Park studio or on-location at your brokerage office. Lighting, posing, and background are matched precisely across every agent, even when sessions happen on different days or in different locations.

After the shoot, individual portraits are composited into a single team image with a custom background of your choosing. Realistic shadows, accurate scale, and natural spacing are added for a result that reads as a real group photo, not a cutout collage.

Why Brokerages Choose It

Solves the team-photo problem permanently

Getting an entire brokerage in the same room at the same time is nearly impossible. Showings, listing appointments, closings, and split schedules make traditional group photos a logistics challenge that often takes longer to coordinate than to shoot.

A composite brokerage portrait removes the constraint. Each agent is photographed when their schedule allows. The final image looks unified, polished, and on-brand. Brokerages use composite portraits for About pages, agent rosters, recruiting materials, listing presentations, and brokerage marketing where consistency matters more than the photo being captured in one moment.

Built To Update

Add a new agent without reshooting the team

When an agent joins or leaves, the composite is updated rather than rebuilt. New agents book a single individual session at the Cedar Park studio or on-location, photographed against the same matched background and lighting, then added into the existing composite. Departing agents are removed cleanly.

This is the workflow used by brokerages onboarding new agents quarterly, real estate teams expanding into new markets, and offices maintaining a current team portrait. Each individual portrait also doubles as that agent's own headshot for MLS, sign riders, business cards, and LinkedIn.

Frequently Asked

Everything you need before booking.

Which session length should a realtor book?

The LinkedIn Headshot session is 30 minutes for one outfit and one background. The Professional session is up to 1 hour with multiple outfits and backgrounds, which most realtors choose. The Executive Portrait session is 2 hours with unlimited wardrobe changes plus headshots, three-quarter, and full-body options.

Will my brokerage approve these portraits for MLS and sign riders?

Yes. Files are delivered in multiple sizes and crops already formatted for MLS profile photos, listing sign riders, brokerage websites, business cards, LinkedIn, and social. If your brokerage has specific submission requirements (file size, dimensions, background color), let us know when you book and the delivery will be sized accordingly.

How should I dress for a realtor portrait?

Solid colors photograph best. Avoid loud patterns, busy logos, or bright whites that can blow out under studio lights. For multi-outfit sessions, bring 2-3 looks ranging from formal (blazer, dress shirt) to business-casual. A wardrobe guide is sent automatically when you book. If you want the look to match your brokerage palette specifically, bring it up at the start of the session.

I'm a commercial broker, not a residential agent. Is this still the right session?

Yes. Sessions are calibrated for the specific market you serve. Commercial brokers and institutional buyers respond to different visual cues than residential buyers - more polished, more institutional, less casual. The Professional or Executive Portrait session is most often the right fit for commercial work, since it includes the wardrobe range needed for both client meetings and institutional materials.

Can I match my portrait to my brokerage's existing look?

Yes. RE/MAX, Compass, Keller Williams, Coldwell Banker, Century 21, Engel & Völkers, Sotheby's, and most major brokerages have a recognizable visual standard. The background color, lighting, and composition can be matched to your brokerage's existing portraits so your photo blends seamlessly with your team. Or we can build something fresh that's distinctly yours within the brokerage's brand parameters.

How many portraits do I get?

During your session you'll see every shot we take, and you select your favorites in real time. Retouched portraits are purchased after your session, starting at $125 for one image and $850 for ten. Most realtors select between 2 and 5 retouched portraits, typically a primary headshot for sign riders and MLS, plus 3/4-length or alternate-background variations for web and social.

What's the turnaround on retouched portraits?

Retouched portraits are typically delivered within 3-5 business days of your selection. Rush options are available if you're tied to a deadline, a new listing going live, brokerage onboarding, or a website launch.

Where is the studio located?

The ATX Headshots studio is at 600 S. Bell Blvd, Suite 7, Cedar Park, TX 78613. About 25 minutes from downtown Austin and easily accessible from 183 and 1431. Free dedicated parking directly in front of the studio, no meters, no garages.

Can you shoot at my brokerage office or on-location?

Yes, on-location sessions are available for brokerage offices and team bookings. For individual realtors, the studio gives you better lighting control and faster turnaround. For team or new-agent rollouts at a brokerage, on-location is often the easier choice, see the team sessions page for details.

How does retouching work and how much does it cost?

Retouching includes blemish removal, glasses glare, teeth whitening, stray hairs, and clothing adjustments, natural and professional, never overdone. Pricing: 1 image $125, 2 images $225, 3 images $300, 5 images $475, 10 images $850. You select and purchase retouched portraits after your session.

What's your rescheduling and cancellation policy?

Sessions can be rescheduled up to 48 hours before your appointment at no charge. Cancellations within 48 hours forfeit the booking deposit. We're flexible with genuine emergencies, just call the studio directly at 512-790-8298.

Can the brokerage be billed directly?

Yes. Standard receipts and invoices are provided for reimbursement, and brokerages can be billed directly for team-paid sessions or new-agent onboarding programs. For team bookings of 4 or more, see the team sessions page.
