How long does an Austin headshot session take?
Sessions run twenty minutes, one hour, or two hours depending on the tier. Most working professionals book the one-hour Professional Session and are in and out within the hour.
- 20 minutes, Studio Headshot. One outfit, single look, clean studio composition. One retouched image included; most clients add one more.
- Up to 60 minutes, Professional Session. Multiple outfits, optional three-quarter length portraits. One retouched image included; most clients add two or three more.
- 2 hours, Executive Portrait. Unlimited wardrobe changes, headshots, three-quarter, seated and full-body, with a post-session retouching consult. One retouched image included.
What makes a headshot photographer worth booking?
- Coaching determines whether the photos are usable. Most photographers point a camera and hope. A coached session directs posing, expression, and angle on every frame so every shot is usable.

What if my last headshots came back looking over-edited?
That is usually heavy-handed editing, not retouching. Here the retouching is natural: blemishes, stray hairs, glare, and distractions are cleaned up while you stay recognizable. No skin-smoothing into plastic, no AI sheen, no version of you that you would not put your name to.
Can you come to our office instead?
Yes. On-location sessions are available across the Austin metro for executives and teams who would rather have the photographer come to their office or venue. The studio is the default for individuals; on-location is common for leadership and group work. Mention it at booking and the setup is handled.
Do I really need to dress up?
Wear what you would wear for the setting the photo is for. Solid colors hold up better than busy patterns, and fit matters more than how formal it is. A blazer over a different shirt counts as a second look. The prep email covers the rest, and anything else gets handled in person.
Can you match a set of headshots we already have?
Yes. Send a sample at booking and the background, lighting, and crop are matched so the new images sit alongside what you have. Common for firms keeping leadership headshots consistent as people join.
What is your rescheduling policy?
Plans move. Reschedule with reasonable notice and the booking moves with you. If something comes up last minute, reply to your confirmation email or send a note through the contact page and it gets worked out.
